The Sazerac Legacy Grant
Honoring the life and legacy of Sazerac, aka Zach, by
helping to fund a junior rider’s fall finals goals.
The tragic loss of Sazerac made the importance of memories with our horses clear.
In memory of all of the opportunities Zach brought, The Sazerac Legacy Grant aims to financially support a junior rider each year in pursuit of their goals and allow them to have a chance to make memories.
Presented by BENDing Line Farm and the Oregon Hunter Jumper Association in memory of Sazerac. The Sazerac Legacy Grant is awarded to a Junior rider who exemplifies horsemanship, sportsmanship, tenacity, and brilliance in the efforts to reach their goals.
The Sazerac Legacy Grant began in April 2025 after the tragic loss of BENDing Line Farm's beloved Zach, better known as Sazarac. Zach was a cherished partner in and out of the ring and a once-in-a-lifetime horse. In the five years, BENDing Line Farm was privileged enough to own Zach, he helped his rider, Ella, achieve all of her junior goals and more.
In memory of Zach and his impact, the Sazerac Legacy Grant is awarded to a Junior rider who exemplifies horsemanship, sportsmanship, tenacity, and brilliance in their pursuit of their goals. The grant is to be used towards ANY Fall Finals, no matter the discipline or division.
